Expressway signs agreement with DaimlerChrysler
WINDSOR, Ont. (May 16, 2001) — DaimlerChrysler Canada announced plans to use Canadian Pacific Railway’s Expressway short-haul intermodal service to transport components to the auto maker’s sedan assembly plant in Brampton, Ont.
Expressway, a roll-on/roll-off operation, will bring components directly into the Brampton facility from terminals in Montreal and Windsor.
The DaimlerChrysler agreement is Expressway’s first with an auto manufacturer.
