Hyundai Truck America convenes dealer group
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Dec. 9, 2002) — To mark the launch of its medium and light-duty commercial trucks in the U.S. market, Hyundai Truck America held its inaugural dealer meeting last week in Atlantic City, where company staff introduced the new Hyundai lineup for America and outlined the scope of dealer support activities.
The Jamesburg, N.J.-based branch of Korean industrial giant Hyundai Motor will be headed by Y.J. Choo and service an initial dealer group with more than 30 locations nationwide.
HTA will offer three cab-over-engine trucks, the HLD150 class-4 light-duty and the HMD230 and HMD260 class-6 medium-duty trucks.
“We know that the U.S. truck market is a very competitive and difficult market. We will try to meet the challenges of being in the United States with Hyundai’s commercial vehicle products while trying to reach the highest levels of customer satisfaction,” said Johng-Sik Choi, executive vice president of Hyundai Motor’s commercial vehicle division.
Hyundai Motor exports passenger cars and commercial vehicles to more than 200 countries.
