Clarke – Consolidated Fastfrate deal collapses

Etobicoke, Ont.-based Clarke Inc.’s planned acquisition of Consolidated Fastfrate Inc. has fallen apart-just one week before the scheduled closure.

Reasons why the deal failed between the two companies-both of which have rail-forwarding operations in Concord, Ont.-were not immediately available.

The merger would have created combined revenues of $200 million for Clarke, which offers both truckload and less-than-truck load tansportation and logistics services from five operating divisions-including Concord Transportation.
