Quebec fleets applying congestion surcharges

MONTREAL, Que. — Local media is reporting truckers in Quebec are moving to apply congestion surcharges on deliveries into car-clogged Montreal.

According to CTV News, some carriers are already applying a traffic surcharge to cope with the costs of sitting in Montreal area traffic.

Quebec Trucking Association chief Marc Cadieux told the outlet the trucking industry cannot absorb the cost of sitting in traffic jams.
