Get organized
Dear Editor,
As March began, the current truckers’ dispute over the price of diesel fuel was still in the news. As the wife of a long-distance trucker, I do sympathize with their plight, but I think they are going about this thing the wrong way.
The recent protests in Ontario and Quebec were a classic example. What were they doing out on the roads to begin with? If they cannot afford to go to work because of the high cost of fuel, aren’t they defeating their purpose by cruising Hwy. 401 or idling on Parliament Hill? Come on guys. Get organized for heaven’s sake. If you’re going to do it, then do it right.
With no trucks on the road period, how long do you think it would take? In no time, people in the right places would be talking to us.
