Kenworth expands transmission choices
KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kenworth now offers Eaton Fuller 10- and 18-speed AutoShift transmissions with Generation II controls on its T600, T800, W900, C500 and T2000 models. The 10-speed AutoShift is also available in Kenworth’s CityCab and WorkCab models.
Features of the Generation II AutoShift include a new electronic control unit (ECU) common to all models; redesigned X-Y shifter motors for improved reliability; push-button controls; and fewer connectors. The new AutoShift generation allows on-site configuration of shift points, engine speed limitations and starting gear.
An adjustment-free clutch, synthetic lubricant, and a compression brake are required with 10- or 18-speed AutoShift transmissions with Generation II controls. n
