VANCOUVER, B.C. – Westport Innovations is testing in Canada a low-emissions heavy-duty truck powered using liquefied natural gas.

The truck uses Westport’s natural gas fuel system, and is designed to operate with all of the power and performance of a standard diesel fuel engine. The rig is being run by Bobell Group, an Aldergrove, B.C. fleet that hauls wood chips. It is powered by an ISX 400 horsepower engine, made by Cummins. n
