Accuride names Canadian to manage Steel Wheels

EVANSVILLE, Ind.– Accuride Corp. has announced the appointment of former London, Ont. plant director Leigh Wright to vice-president and GM of Accuride Steel Wheels.

“Leigh possesses extensive experience in building operational excellence through implementation of lean manufacturing practices,” said Bob Nida, Accuride’s senior vice-president of operations for Steel Wheels, Gunite, and Brillion Iron Works. “We look for Leigh to further optimize our existing steel wheel operations, while assisting the corporation in strategically growing its global steel wheel footprint.”

Wright has over 20 years of progressive management experience, most of which has been in the heavy truck industry. Wright has a MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, a CIM from McMaster University, and a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist diploma from Fanshawe College in London, Ont.

Accuride’s products include commercial vehicle wheels, wheel-end components and assemblies, truck body and chassis parts, seating assemblies and other commercial vehicle components.
