ArvinMeritor shuffles exec deck
TROY — ArvinMeritor named a new chief operating officer, as well as vice president and president of both industrial and aftermarket and trailer segments.
The company tapped Carsten Reinhardt — current president of the commercial vehicle systems group — as senior vice president and chief operating officer, handling the overall global management of the company’s commercial truck, industrial, and aftermarket and trailer business segments.
Tim Bowes, meanwhile, has been named vice president and president of the industrial segment, responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s business in off-highway, military, construction, bus and coach, fire and emergency, and other industrial applications.
As well, Joe Mejaly was named vice president and president of the company’s aftermarket and trailer unit, reporting to Reinhardt.
In this role, he’ll manage the aftermarket group, which supplies axles, brakes and suspension parts to commercial vehicle aftermarket customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and South America.
One of his primary goals will be to expand the company’s aftermarket business in Asia Pacific.
He’ll also work on developing and growing ArvinMeritor’s remanufacturing business, which recently acquired Mascot Truck Parts (North America) and TruckTechnic (Europe).
Mejaly served as vice president and general manager of ArvinMeritor’s commercial vehicle aftermarket and trailer business.
