Bert Clay bids farewell to Trailmobile
TORONTO — Bert Clay, VP of Sales and Marketing for Trailmobile Canada is leaving the company, effective Friday March 13.
Clay informed customers and industry people in an email this morning.
"I wish to express my gratitude and thanks to all my customers, co-workers and industry friends for the many years of working together," he said, adding that he’s glad to have been a part of the company’s growth from a small regional FRP manufacturer to one of the top trailer makers in North America.
"This industry is full of great individuals and we can all drive forward into greater times and new opportunities."
The future of Trailmobile Canada is far from certain. Last month, Todaystrucking.com learned that the company filed for creditor protection so it could formulate a restructuring plan.
It’s unknown, however, whether creditors accepted the restructuring proposal.
Manufacturing operations have been on hold since last December and the trailer maker reportedly put its Mississauga headquarters up for sale.
In an email, Clay said he preferred not to comment on the company’s current status.
