CAT C9 now available on Pete 357
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Peterbilt has added the Caterpillar C9 to its engine options for the vocational Model 357, officials announced at the Mid-America Truck Show.
The engine provides customers with weight-conscious applications with the opportunity to take out about 780 compared to a chassis spec’d with the C11, said company officials.
The engine is available in two ratings: 335 hp/1050 feet-pounds torque and 350 hp/1100 feet-pounds torque.
Both front and rear power take-off options are available.
