Chevron Delo 400 formulated for the deep-freeze
Chevron’s recently reformulated Delo 400 Synthetic SAE 5W-40 motor oil is designed to better meet the needs of heavy-duty diesel engines in extreme climates.
In severe cold temperatures, Delo 400 Synthetic SAE 5W-40 provides excellent “pumpability,” leading to less wear at startup, while in hot climates, the oil maintains its SAE 40-viscosity grade for maximum lubricating film thickness. As a result, on-road and off-road operators are able to use one oil for all seasons.
Delo 400 Synthetic SAE 5W-40 surpasses the requirements of the latest API standards. Key benefits include lower oil costs as proven by excellent oil consumption and deposit control on piston crownlands; reduced operating costs through better soot dispersion and wear control; longer engine life due to less wear during all operating conditions; and reduced inventory costs through its wide operating temperature range, allowing for the use of one oil in all four seasons.
Delo 400 Synthetic SAE 5W-40 is a multipurpose 100% synthetic lubricant formulated for use in gasoline and diesel engines, torque converters, gear cases and hydraulic systems operating in arctic-type temperatures. It is manufactured using stable synthetic base stocks and highly dispersed VI improvers that promote stable viscosity and soot dispersion between oil drains.
