Dana OKs Pennzoil lubes for complete warranty coverage
Pennzoil-Quaker State said its Pennzoil long-life extended warranty gear oils have met all of the requirements for complete warranty coverage on Dana drive axles. Under its Roadranger drivetrain partnership, Dana offers extended warranty coverage of 750,000 miles. According to the terms of the warranty, the mineral-based Pennzoil lubricants may be used as initial fill for an extended drain interval of 500,000 miles and as service fill with a drain interval of 250,000 miles, the same as the synthetic-based lubricants on the approval list. The oils are available in SAE grades 75W-90 and 80W-140.
Introduced in May 2001, Pennzoil’s long-life extended warranty gear oils have also received O76-Q extended drain approval from ArvinMeritor, and Mack GO-J approval for use in Mack trucks axles and transmissions.
