Dana taps former Eaton Corp. boss

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Truck components maker Dana Holding Corp. has appointed former Eaton Corp. President James Sweetnam to run the company.

Sweetnam’s title is new president and CEO. He replaces John Devine, who will relinquish his CEO duties but will continue as executive chairman. Sweetnam will also serve on the board.

Prior to joining Dana, Sweetnam was responsible for leading Eaton’s $2.3 billion truck business. He spent 11 years at Eaton in various roles, including vice president and general manager of the company’s heavy-duty transmission division and vice president of operations for the heavy-duty transmission clutch and aftermarket.

Sweetnam also served a 10-year stint at Cummins in a number of roles.
