Cummins and National Truck Protection now offer NTP “Encore” warranty plans for used medium-duty trucks with Cummins B5.9, C8.3, ISB, and ISC diesel engines-regardless of mileage, make, model, or year of truck. It’s also available for customers who currently own a medium-duty truck and have no warranty coverage. A pre-purchase inspection by NTP is required. The 24-hour/seven-day plan utilizes 2500 recognized repair facilities. The truck owner pays $150 US per occurrence, and NTP pays the balance directly to the shop within hours. There are two plans: six months/unlimited miles provides comprehensive protection, covering parts and labor to repair all internally lubricated parts and over 40 others; 12 months/unlimited miles protects against failures or defects in materials or workmanship for 18 major components.
