Hino 195h hybrid makes debut at ExpoCam
MONTREAL — Hino Motors Canada showed off a brand new 2012 Hino 195h hybrid Class 5 truck chassis for the first time in Canada at the ExpoCam truck show in Montreal.
The 195h Hybrid cabover was unveiled at the NTEA show in Indianapolis last month where it received rave reviews.
The Hino 195h utilizes advanced diesel-electric hybrid technology and Hino’s EPA 2010-compliant SCR system to achieve improvements in both fuel economy and engine exhaust emissions.
It is expected to hit dealer lots starting in December.
"The Hino 195h hybrid will be the first of its kind for the Class 5 truck market in North America," said Eric Smith, VP of Sales. "It will be ideally suited to pick-up and delivery applications where low average speed allows the hybrid system to develop large efficiency gains.”
The newly designed cab and chassis will also be available in a Class 4 and Class 5 diesel engine only configuration starting September.
All models are powered by Hino’s J05E Series engine producing 210hp and 440 lbs.-ft. of torque. The transmission is Aisin’s 6-speed fully automatic A465.
