Kenworth introduces new extended daycab
Kenworth’s new extended daycab for its lineup of T600, T800 and W900 heavy duty trucks provides drivers with more room and storage space is well-suited for both regional hauling applications and vocational customers who are looking for more cab comfort, the company says.
The extended daycab runs six inches longer with the roof raised five inches over our traditional daycab. The result is a very spacious cab with two more inches in driver belly and leg room, more head room, and 21 degrees of recline in the driver’s seat. It also offers more than two cubic feet of added interior storage.
Available interior packages include the Diamond and Splendor lining options in standard Kenworth colors. Also available is the QuietCab package to reduce interior noise. Among exterior options are one of the most popular exhaust placement choices, including back of cab and side of cab mountings. Aerodynamic devices also will be available.
Visibility features include the 17-inch by 36-inch back window — one of the largest in the industry — and optional DayLite doors and corner windows. In addition, the company says the extended daycab is light, with only an increase of 175 pounds over the standard cab’s weight.
