Nav-Cat truck surfaces Down Under

VICTORIA, Aus. — The Cat-Navistar alliance will roll out its first ever on-road trucks in Australia.

The global joint venture, aptly named NC2, says the new CT 610 and CT 630
Are specifically designed for the rugged Australian market.

Both are conventional tractors that will be available in both day cab and extended cab.

A former Cat moving equipment plant in Victoria has been converted to produce the NC2 trucks.

NC2 has also set up operations in South Africa where it will market a lineup of commercial vehicles and is working with Chinese commercial vehicle maker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile to develop diesel truck engines in Asia.
