Navistar scales back Ohio truck plant
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Navistar says it will layoff 231 people at its medium-duty International Truck and Engine manufacturing plant in Ohio.
It was not clear whether the layoffs would be temporary or not.
The truckmaker says demand has slipped and expects to reduce truck production from 177 to 120 per day.
International has a heavy-duty truck plant in Chatham, Ont.
