Smooth-sided tailgate for East dumps

East Manufacturing’s Genesis smooth-sided dump trailers now have a smooth-walled tailgate, said to be much lighter than a traditional sheet-and-post design without sacrificing strength or durability. The tailgate walls are made of double-wall aluminum extrusions, robotically welded together in a patented process. Each two-inch-thick extrusion has two internal ribs connecting the inner and outer skins. And with nowhere for dirt, mud, snow, and ice to build up, the smooth surface is easy to clean.
The tailgate’s over-slung hinge has more bearing surface for longer hinge life, and the gate will accept a special recessed rubber seal without the use of adhesives for easy maintenance and/or replacement.
