SPX Diagnostic Tool Stands Alone

From SPX Service Solutions comes the Integrated Truck Diagnostic System, a PC-based tool that should please technicians and shop supervisors because it integrates diagnostic software from different original equipment manufacturers.

As things stand now, fleets acquire individual programs from OEMs and load them separately onto their PCs. Conflicts among the programs often result, requiring awkward work-arounds as well as the need for many different cables to connect the truck and PC. The solution for some fleets is handheld tools, not all of which are OEM-endorsed.

The new SPX tool integrates the software onto one computer platform with a single user interface and a minimal number of cables. The system is ready to use right out of the box, since SPX has already loaded the software and registered it with the OEMs in question. The system resolves any conflicts. It’s designed to adapt to any fleet’s needs depending on their vehicle mix, with a customized approach accounting for specific vehicles, engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.
