ABS Install Kits
BluDot, which supplies packaged brake systems for custom trailer manufacturers, distributors, and dealers, has released its TA-7000 and TA-8000 Series Anti-lock Brake Actuating System Kits. The kits meet current U.S. FMVSS 571.121 regulations for antilock air brake systems and fit most one-, two-, and three-axle trailers. A typical TA-7000 and TA-8000 ABS air brake system kit includes the air reservoir, computer/electronic control unit relay valve, sensor cables, snap-together connectors, bundled wiring harnesses, and mounting hardware. Bulk hoses can be ordered, and BluDot says it can customize hose lengths, connector sizes, and additional components as needed. The company notes that the kits are ideal for short-run installation situations where customization, universal fit, and quick turnaround are required.
