ACE changes to driver-crew deployment

TORONTO — When the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) A1 Release protocol took effect earlier this month, U.S. Customs made changes to the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) for Drivers-Crews, according to customs brokerage firm Livingston International.

A prerequisite for this new account was a reconciliation of FAST and Non-FAST drivers with the same commercial drivers licence number. Some carriers, says Livingston, may find that drivers that were added through the portal prior to this drop have been removed from their account.

For the drivers that were removed, their FAST I.D. is required to add them to their e-manifest.

All FAST driver updates must be made through the FAST enrollment center, says the firm.
