AirIQ dunks a new deal in the U.S.
TORONTO, Ont. (Sept. 25, 2001) – AirIQ Inc., a Toronto, Ont.-based wireless application service provider specializing in mobile asset management solutions, announced today that Dunkin’ Donuts’ distribution arm has selected the AirIQ solution to protect and manage its fleet of distribution vehicles in the south-eastern United States.
Dunkin’ says AirIQ’s real-time systems will help ensure on-time delivery for the fleets 61 weekly routes and $2.5 million in rolling inventory. Also, AirIQ’s Reefer Fault Service will help protect perishable goods by warning of a failure in the refrigerated trailer and allowing personnel to act before goods spoil.
The deal will see AirIQ’s vehicle location and management solution installed in all of Dunkin’ Donuts Southeast Distribution Center’s tractors, straight-trucks, dry vans and refrigerated trailers.
