Alcoa Heavy-Duty & light Weight Wheels

Truckers hauling loads in severe applications, such as logging and mining, can now get a wheel engineered with their tough job in mind: Alcoa’s new Severe Service wheel. It boasts a maximum load rating of 8000 pounds (exceeding standard hub-piloted wheel load ratings by 700 pounds), and is lean on weight: the 22.5-inch forged aluminum wheel weighs 55 pounds, offering 31 pounds in weight savings as compared to a comparable steel wheel. Specs include 10-hole, hub-piloted mounting with 285.75-mm bolt circles. The wheels are available in two sizes: 22.5 inches by 8.25 inches (part number 885600), and 24.5 inches by 8.25 inches (part number 985600). The wheels have a five-year limited warranty.
