Application deadline nearing for OTA scholarship program
TORONTO (June 17, 2002) — The deadline is nearing for post-secondary students interested in applying for the OTA Bud Barr Scholarship Fund, awarded each year by the Ontario Trucking Association.
The annual scholarship awards $2500 each to two university or college-bound sons or daughters of OTA-member-company employees. The application deadline is June 30.
Winners are determined based on need, with special consideration given to students facing hardship because of the illness, injury, or death of a parent. Applicants must be under 25 years old and enrolled or registered to attend college or university on a full-time basis.
The scholarship is administered by the OTA Education Foundation.
