ArvinMeritor adds trailer axles to reman offerings

TROY, Mich. — ArvinMeritor Inc. has added a major new component to its portfolio of remanufactured components — trailer axles, initially targeted at North American intermodal motor carriers.

Production began this month at the company’s manufacturing facility in Plainfield, Ind.

The remanufactured trailer axles, as with the other reman components, are produced according to strict, engineering-approved specifications. The axles have the full corporate resources of ArvinMeritor behind them, both in terms of OE engineering and technical field support.

For more than 22 years, ArvinMeritor has remanufactured axle-brake components, first with axle differentials and followed by brake shoes, manual transmissions, wedge brake actuators, wedge brakes cylinders, and transfer cases.
