ArvinMeritor boosts Canadian content
TROY, Mich. — John Nelligan is ArvinMeritor‘s new Canadian regional director, North American Field Operations.
A familiar face on the Canadian trucking scene for the past two decades, Nelligan was dealer principal at Harper Truck Centre before joining Meritor.
In his new position, Nelligan is responsible for the sales-service and support of all fleets and dealers across the Canadian provinces. He and a team of eight district managers will focus on the customers’ truck-trailer component needs, as well as training and after-the-sale support.
Arvin has also appointed Rick Decaire as Eastern regional sales director for the Aftermarket Business.
Decaire was most recently Eastern Area director for the Northeast and Eastern Canada region, encompassing the northeast U.S. and the maritime provinces. Before joining ArvinMeritor in 2000, he worked with Nelson Muffler Canada and Ontario Bus Industries.
For his part, Decaire will lead an aftermarket sales team across the eastern half of U.S. serving aftermarket professionals at warehouse distributors and OE dealers with their service parts needs.
At the same time, the company also announced that Matthew Stevenson has been appointed director of marketing for the company’s Truck business unit, and director for the joint venture Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems.
Stevenson will oversee North American product marketing and will be responsible for coordinating customer, product and marketing strategies associated with the Meritor WABCO joint venture.
