Atripco founder honored by Trailmobile Canada, OTA

TORONTO — Ivan Service, founder of family-owned courier Atripco Delivery Service, was presented with the Ontario Trucking Association/Trailmobile Canada Service to Industry Award at the OTA annual convention on Nov. 20.

Service received the award in recognition of 60 years of dedicated service to the transportation industry.

Service was descibed by his sons Greg and Lloyd, who are Atripco’s vice president of finance and vice-president of operations, respectively, as “the sort of person who would not only give you the shirt off his back if you were in need, but he would probably give you a truck out of the yard.”

The Atripco Group of Companies provides messenger and courier services across Canada as well as LTL and distribution services throughout Ontario. Service helped develop the messenger/courier division of the OTA.
