Ballard Power CEO named Canada’s Transportation Person of the Year
OTTAWA (March 12, 2001) — Firoz Rasul, president and CEO of Ballard Power Systems, has been named 2001 National Transportation Person of the Year.
Ballard Power Systems, based in Burnaby, B.C., has become the leading developer of fuel cell systems for cars, trucks, and buses.
The award is presented annually in association with National Transportation Week. The presentation will conclude a day-long transportation symposium and National Awards program marking the beginning of National Transportation Week 2001. Events to mark National Transportation Week 2001 will take place from June 1- 9 in cities and towns across Canada.
