Better wheel nut

Disc-Lock International offers an improved version of its Safety Wheel Nut, said to “virtually eliminate the possibility of lost wheels.”

The wheel nut has been redesigned into three pieces without compromising the original Disc-Lock working principle of rising cams. As well, a retaining ring has replaced the old retaining clip, thereby enhancing the assembly and reducing the possibility of corrosion. It has also received better corrosion protection by way of a new, superior coating (Dacromet) which passed a 1,000-hour salt-spray test. The company says it’s also easier to install and remove the new nut because the lower flange is deeper and can be grasped by the socket more easily.
