Bill Hunt resigns as ArvinMeritor vice-chairman and president

TROY, Mich. (August 10, 2001) — After 25 years with Arvin Industries and ArvinMeritor, Bill Hunt is resigning as vice-chairman and president of the company. Larry Yost, chairman and CEO, will assume Hunt’s operating responsibilities.

Hunt plans to form a venture capital company based in Indianapolis, according to a statement from ArvinMeritor. It will explore investment opportunities in automotive and non-automotive areas.

Hunt served in his current position since the merger of Arvin Industries and Meritor Automotive on July 7, 2000. Prior to the merger, he was chairman and CEO of Arvin, a supplier of automotive components. He joined Arvin in 1976.
