Blue Water Bridge appoints CEO

SARNIA, Ont. — The federal government has named Chuck Chrapko president and CEO of the Blue Water Bridge Authority.

Former Sarnia-Lambton MP Ken James has also been tapped for one of the authority’s four directors, Transportation Minister Lawrence Cannon announced.
Until 2005, Chrapko was owner and vice-president of operations of Howell Data Systems, a software and hardware services company based in Sarnia. He was also a sales representative for eight years at Molson Breweries in Windsor, Ontario.

The BWBA is responsible for the management and operation of the Canadian side of the Blue Water Bridge, which has linked Sarnia with Port Huron, Mich. since 1939.
