BorgWarner, Valeo form cooling systems alliance
CHICAGO (May 22, 2000) — BorgWarner Inc. and Valeo Engine Cooling, two of the largest suppliers of cooling systems for cars and commercial trucks, announced plans to collaborate on product development. The companies said they expect to provide products that will address increasingly stringent emission regulations.
BorgWarner Cooling Systems provides fan and fan drive systems to both North American and European truck customers as well as a global provider of engine cooling solutions. The operating group makes and markets air-sensing and coolant-sensing fan drives that can be mechanically or electronically controlled. It also manufactures and markets both metal and nylon fan and radiator shutters for engine cooling systems. Valeo Engine Cooling is the world’s leading supplier of engine cooling systems, modules, and components to the global automotive and truck industry.
