Boyd leaves APTA
DIEPPE, N.B. — Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association President Ralph Boyd has left the lobby group.
APTA chairperson LeeAnn McConnell confirmed the news this morning. McConnell, of McConnell Transport Ltd. in Jacksonville, N.B. could not offer any more details at this time as to Boyd’s departure.
Contrary some media speculation in the region, Boyd’s departure had nothing to do with his opposition to a group of owner-ops that closed roadways last month in response, the APTA stated in a press release. ” “The Association’s position with respect to the road closures-blockades remains unchanged, the group stated.
An APTA staff member also confirmed that Chris McKee, manager of communications and publications, has also left the association to pursue other opportunities.
