Brenntag puts first SCR truck to work in delivery fleet
READING, Pa. — Diesel Exhaust Fluid supplier Brenntag North America has taken delivery of a new SCR truck that runs on the NOx-busting product It’s begun delivering.
The truck is a new Freightliner Cascadia SCR tractor with a Detroit Diesel DD15 engine.
This SCR truck is already servicing customers in Brenntag’s northeast region.
"The decision to use SCR technology was an easy one," said Denny Eisenhofer, VP Operations, Brenntag Northeast. "First of all, Brenntag is a major player in the DEF distribution business both here and in Europe. And in addition to helping the environment, we believe SCR technology will provide significant economic benefits for the company."
Performance will be monitored and measured against other trucks in the Brenntag fleet, which nationally is comprised of over 600 tractors.
