BSM buys vehicle diagnostic solutions firm
WOODBRIDGE, Ont. — Canadian wireless and vehicle security company BSM Technologies has acquired Netistix Technologies Corp., the developer of FleetPulse, a wireless fleet management system that provides fleet managers with timely and actionable decision-support information, based on GPS tracking, vehicle usage, diagnostic codes, fuel consumption data and other fleet operations information.
The acquisition will position BSM as the provider of the world’s most comprehensive and advanced fleet management product suite on the market, the company boasts.
BSM and Netistix customers will be able to access a wide variety of new capabilities almost immediately, including:
Compatibility with virtually all light and heavy-duty vehicle models; multiple wireless options; customizable reports and report delivery options; flexible application modules and pricing packages; and extensive third-party support.
The integration of the two companies will result in a “negligible” increase in operating costs, BSM says.
“Our products combined with the Netistix FleetPulse suite of services will enable fleet mangers to significantly increase the overall efficiency of their fleets, increase safety and security for their drivers, vehicles, goods and the public in general,” said BSM President Nick Cirella.
