Cabano Kingsway acquires Quebec bulk hauler
SAINT-LAURENT, Que. (Jan. 6) — Cabano Kingsway continues to diversify, acquiring Transport Raynald April of Riviere-du-Loup, Que., a company specializing in transport of bulk merchandise. The price was not disclosed.
Raynald April has annual revenues of about $2 million and operates a fleet of 30 vehicles mainly in Quebec. The company will operate as a subsidiary of Cabano Kingsway.
Cabano Kingsway is primarily a less-than-truckload carrier operating in Eastern Canada. In the past year and a half, it has acquired Thompson’s Transfer of Middletown, N.S., and the bulk cement transport division of Transport Super Rapide. Its network includes over 40 regional terminals located in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The company covers the U.S. territory through strategic alliances it has formed with various partners.
