Canadian firm helps bring auto truck loader to market

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Loading Automation has partnered Canadian equipment manufacturer Paco Corp., which has developed the Automated Trailer Loading System (ATLS) is capable of loading and unloading all standard, non-dedicated over-the-road refrigerated, dry freight and container trailers with palletized or slip sheeted product.

The ATLS universal loader can load up to 120 pallets (@3,000 lbs. ea.) per hour. The ATLS control system can be integrated with WMS or MRP manufacturing computer systems and programmed for a wide variety of custom load balance routines such as pin-wheeling or staggered pallets.

Once a trailer is loaded, a complete manifest of the loaded product can be printed out, simplifying paper work and optimizing load tracking.

The loading system is typically and easily integrated with conveyor feed systems, shuttle cars, palletizers, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
