Canadian firm says it’s easy being green
Intelligent Vehicle Systems
Kelowna, B.C.-based IVS Intelligent Vehicle Systems is the Canadian rights-owner to the Rentar Fuel Catalyst, a Florida – made product that U.S. military studies have shown can cut consumption up to 38% and emissions in half.
The company says test results recently received from the stringent California Air Resource Board indicate a 19% reduction in NOx and 20% reduction in particulate matter using a Rentar Fuel Catayst on a Cummins Model 855 Diesel Engine.
The Rentar Fuel Catalyst attaches compactly to the diesel fuel line of any piece of equipment or truck – and, at a cost of approximately $2,400 (CDN), users generally recoup the fuel-savings costs within three months to a year, the company says.
IVS has a number of Canadian clients which have installed the Rentar Catalyst, including major mining and transportation companies, including Greyhound Canada.
