Cancom raises over $8,000 for juvenile diabetes research

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Cancom Tracking, a leader in mobile communications for the Canadian transportation industry, has raised a record breaking amount of money for the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

“Diabetes is a disease that affects over two million Canadians and Cancom Tracking is proud to be doing their part to help in the fight against this diabetes,” the company states.

Cancom — a division of Shaw Communications — surpassed their donation from last year by raising $8,730 at the 12th Annual Executive Conference through a number of events and the generosity of their customers.

“We continue to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We would not be able to do that without the continued generosity of our customers and partners,” said Mike Ham, vice-president of Cancom Tracking. “We would once again like to thank all participants for their contributions towards such a worthy cause.”

Ham ceremoniously presented the cheque to Ralston Armour, from Armour Transportation. Ralston continues to have involvement with the Walk to Cure Diabetes in Moncton.
