Hendrickson International put the shine on a mirror-finish, non-metal bumper with its Hendrickson Aero Bright (HAB) bumper. Behind the chrome-like finish, the HAB delivers durability and impact resistance in a lightweight package.
Aero Bright is a composition of formable, shiny, weatherable films and thick sheet thermoforming technology. Thermoforming starts with a flat, rectangular sheet of plastic clamped to a frame and heated to a specific temperature. The sheet is then pulled tightly over a tool with a vacuum, cooled, and trimmed to shape. The mirror-finish film gets merged with the thermoplastics.
