Caterpillar reorganizes truck engine field sales group

MOSSVILLE, Ill. (Dec. 13, 2001) — Diesel engine maker Caterpillar Inc. has shaken up its field operations group, appointing two new managers.

Larry Dicks and Steve Brown will lead the company’s field operations division, which has been split into east and west divisions. Caterpillar said it has also hired additional field representatives to improve customer service.

The company’s truck engine department also has a new name: the Caterpillar On-Highway Engine Division.

“With new technology for meeting ever-stricter emissions regulations on the horizon, it’s important to continue providing the hands-on, one-to-one service that users and truck dealers are accustomed to receiving from Cat,” Sarah Anderson, general manager of Caterpillar’s On-Highway Engine Division, said in a press release.
