CCRA closes Midcontinent Truck Terminal

TORONTO (April 2, 2001) — The Canada Customs and Revenue Agency closed one of its largest and oldest sufferance warehouses last week, the Midcontinent Truck Terminal inn Toronto.

CCRA is advising trucking companies to manifest all in-bond movements for Toronto, to one of the following Toronto-area highway sufferance warehouses:

– Goreway Sufferance Warehouse, 6600 Goreway Drive, Mississauga (customs office 480)
– Transcargo Center, 6555 Northwest Drive, Mississauga (customs office 495)
– Interport Sufferance Warehouse, 5425 Dixie Road, Mississauga (customs office 496)
– Toronto Sufferance Truck Terminal, 2055 Kennedy Road, Toronto (customs office 499)

Unreleased freight awaiting local clearance at the Midcontinent Truck Terminal as of March 30 should be re-manifested to one of the highway sufferance warehouses listed above.
