Cecconi resigns from Freightliner of Canada
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (Dec. 10, 2001) — John Cecconi, vice-president and general manager at Freightliner of Canada for nearly six years, abruptly resigned on Friday.
No successor is expected to be named until after the division’s Portland, Ore.-based parent, Freightliner LLC, announces a new executive structure this week. It is expected that whomever emerges as the truckmaker’s director of North American sales will name Cecconi’s replacement.
Officials at Freightliner’s Canadian office in Mississauga, Ont., would not comment on Cecconi’s departure. Cecconi was not available for comment.
