Check weighing gets a lift
It’s hard to imagine that the weight the customer writes on the waybill might somehow be different from what he actually plans to put onto your truck, but hey, mistakes happen. If you want a measurement done right, you should do
it yourself.
One way to verify the weight of a pallet is with a scale that’s mounted right on the forklift. The ED Series from SkidWeigh is an electronic scale you can install on any lift truck. Every time you pick up a skid, the hydraulic pressure on the vehicle is automatically activated and converted to a weight measurement that’s presented on a LED display.
The scale’s readout has four digits, so it can accurately weigh skids up to 9,999 pounds or kilograms. It is essentially a no-touch operation, requiring no keypunches from anyone, and it easily installs on any lift truck regardless of the make, model, or lifting capacity.
