ChevronTexaco, Cat sign three-year lube deal
SAN RAMON, Calif (Sept. 6, 2002) — ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants said it has signed a three-year contract with Caterpillar Inc to be Caterpillar’s primary coolant/antifreeze provider in North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
CTGL’s coolant product line will be used in several types of Caterpillar equipment, including on-highway diesel engines, stationary engines, and off-highway equipment in the construction and mining industries.
“The lubricants industry demands that companies have scope and scale to compete effectively,” said Conor Marley, vice president, global lubricants solutions, in a statement. “We are excited that Caterpillar chose ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants to continue providing them with superior products and we look forward to offering them the enhanced services our new company can offer.”
