Ciao Roberto! Quebec fleet signs logistics deal with Italian firm
BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Robert Transport, the largest for-hire truckload carrier in Quebec, is expanding its global logistics interests by partnering with Italian wine and spirits freight forwarder Albatrans Inc.
Albatrans Robert Groupe Logistique Inc., as the new firm has been named, will enable Robert “to continue growth in the ocean and air shipping sectors between Canada and the rest of the world creating a range of additional services for our customers and enable us to differentiate ourselves in this logistics niche,” says president Claude Robert.
Albatrans is a global logistics provider and US Customs Broker headquartered in Florence, Italy. It has has offices throughout Europe, South America, Australia and the Far East as well as offices in the major metro hubs in the U.S.
The firm is one of the top three global forwarders in the wine and spirits industry. It has a division specialized in the handling, shipping and customer service of case goods and bulk beverages, including temperature controlled warehousing at all origins and customized capabilities to manage orders, consolidation and track and trace.
