Clarke and partner buy eight warehouses
TORONTO, (Aug. 25, 2004) — Trucking firm Clarke Inc. and a partner have signed a deal to jointly acquire eight warehouses in Toronto for $33.2 million.
Clarke and KingStreet Real Estate Growth LP will each own a 50 per-cent stake in the warehouses, which include land and buildings. Clarke will pay $5 million in cash for the warehouses and finance the rest, the company said.
Toronto-based Clarke has about 1,500 employees and offers freight transportation services throughout North America through its divisions Clarke Transport, Clarke Road Transport, Concord Transportation, and Clarke Contract Services.
