COMPETITION WATCH: TMW receives ACE certification from US CBP agency
BEACHWOOD, Ohio – TMW Systems is now a certified solution provider for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agency’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) e-Manifest Program. The system requires Canadian trucking companies to submit an electronic manifest to the agency prior to shipments reaching the US border.
In conjunction with the CBP certification, TMW has introduced a new ACE integration tool for its TMWSuite enterprise management platform.
Developed with guidance from a group of Canadian TMW customers, TMW’s ACE solution is designed to not only transmit shipment information but also enables integrated message control within TMWSuite. The system automatically creates ACE documents with the appropriate data and then routes them to CBP, according to TMW.
“Our ACE planning tool goes beyond the CBP’s e-manifest compliance regulations for cross-border shipments,” said David Wangler, president and CEO of TMW Systems. “The solution adds real value to the transportation process.”
The integration tool is currently being implemented by several TMW customers, including Kriska Transportation, who will be TMW’s first customer to complete CBP’s certification process in early July.
TMW will also be participating at the CBP-ACE Expo in Chicago Aug. 15-17.
